Measurements taken within the woman's apartment showed significant spikes in radiation levels, although they were below the guidelines that are recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). Global concerns have been raised over the adequacy of current safety standards for RF radiation, which primarily focus on acute heat or thermal effects resulting from exposure. Authorities claim 5G is safe based on thermal heat or acute heat testing results. However, these standards do not adequately address the emerging reality of radiofrequency/microwave syndrome. In 2019, 258 electromagnetic field (EMF) scientists from 58 countries appealed to the United Nations for a moratorium on the 5G rollout until proper health risk assessments could be conducted.
